6th Picnic to Yercaud on 27-06-10 [Sunday]

There are various ways in which a man entertains himself. Picnic is kind of open air entertainment. Then they come back with light heart and happy mind.

06:30 am – We start our Picnic, we accomplish with Pragash, Pojaraj, Shampu, Suresh[Young Brother of Navaneethan], Vetri, Vijian and Nila’s Kumar.

08:30 am - Tharamangalam with Divya Dharshanam

Tharamangalam is famous for Kailasanathar with Sivagami Sundari Temple. Rounding Sagasra Lingam [the Lingam with 108 Lingams are drawn], Pathala Lingam. Housing beautiful statues and stone carvings, the temple walls and its granite roofs has figures of tortoise, fish, monkey, crocodile carved out. There are also statues of Rathi – Manmatha, Vali- Sukrive of the epic Ramayana and Yali with rotating stone ball in its mouth. There is a rotating lotus flower in the ceiling which is just one of the beautiful futures that adorn the Temple.

09:15 am – Break-fast [at Temple]

11:00 am – On the way Tower.

11:15 am – Yercaud – Tea Break

12:00 pm – Servarayan Malai, Maha Vishnu Kugai Kovil and around Places.

12:45 pm – Rajarajeswari Temple, the Statue under the Lord Bhiramma, Vishnu and Siva.

01:00 pm – Anna Park

02:15 pm – Lunch Break

03:00 pm – Pagoda point with around Places

03:30 pm – Lake View Garden – Boats, Rounding Ball, Jothidam

Yeri means lake and Kaadu means forest. Servarayan temple, which is situated at a height of 5326 feet. Hence the Yercaud hill area is called Shevaroy Hills.

05:30 pm – Tea break @ Salem

This temple was constructed with in 41 days by philanthropist Dr.A.Shanmugasundaram, Chancellor, Vinayaka Missions Research Foundation - Deemed University, Salem.
1008 Shiv ling temple where the main idol was almost 7-8 ft tall approx. Not sure what this temple is called but the lingas with their own nandis were installed around a hillock and atop this hillock is the huge shiv ling
